What time of day should I take Zantac®?

Zantac® should be taken as soon as you have heartburn or indigestion symptoms. It starts to work in as little as 30 minutes, and lasts for up to 24 hours (Zantac® Extra).

Can I use Zantac® on a daily basis?

You may take Zantac® 150mg tablets twice daily if required, or Zantac® Extra tablets once a day. Do not take Zantac® for longer than 14 consecutive days without first speaking with your doctor. If symptoms persist, recur or worsen, consult your doctor.

How do I take Zantac®? Can I chew or crush the tablets?

Zantac® can be taken with water but should be swallowed whole. The tablets must not be chewed or crushed.

Should I take the Zantac® before or after eating?

Zantac® can be taken with or without food. Try to take Zantac® as soon as the symptoms of heartburn or indigestion occur.
